Policy Forum 2013
The Role of Evidence in Policy Making

The  theme for this year’s Policy Forum is “ Policy and Evidence” . Speakers will address the roles and challenges of those inside and outside governments in the collection and analysis of data to inform the development and evaluation of public policy. Scientists, think tank analysts, academics, evaluators, officers of Parliament, and senior civil servants will discuss how different kinds of evidence contribute to good policy outcomes in economic, social, and environmental policy domains. Alternative approaches to the collection, use and analysis of evidence will also be presented.

The day will conclude with our annual Donald Gow Memorial Lecture. This year we are pleased to announce that the Gow Lecture will be delivered by Bob Rae, MP, Interim Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada
